You do not need qualifications to start. You just need reliability, compassion, and a willingness to learn. We will do the rest.

What Is Care Work Really Like?

As a Care Assistant at Amari Care Services, you will support people with daily living activities — helping with personal care, preparing meals, managing medications, companionship, and practical support. Every day is different, and every person you support is unique.

You will be based in Lowestoft, usually working with the same clients — building real relationships rather than visiting someone new every shift. Your rota is planned in advance, and you know who you are supporting and when.

Your First Weeks: How We Train You

Starting in care can feel daunting. That is why we have a structured approach:

Induction

You will spend your first days learning about Amari Care Services, our values, health and safety, and what to expect. All in a supportive environment with people who want you to succeed.

Shadowing and Buddy System

You will work alongside an experienced carer for your first shifts. Watch how they interact with clients, learn the routines, ask questions, and build your confidence in a real care setting.
